Beware the Beach Monster !!

From my very own poster collection of cinematic treats we peruse this one sheet from the Cop Out ending picture of the Millineum! It turns out that Mad Scientist Jon Hall, can't stand those Kids and that awful Rock N'Roll music so near his Malibu lab/home. So, he dons a rubber monster suit and starts killing them off hoping they will skidaddle! I remember first seeing this on KTTV Channel 11 Los Angeles under the title, MONSTER FROM THE SURF. Either way, it is definately in the "So Bad, It's Good" category.

A Six Sheet of a Chaplin Masterpiece

This film means a lot to me. It was one film that my Dad never forgot. He saw it first run in 1936! He used to start laughing just thinking about the scene where Charlie wants to tighten the "Bolts" on the woman's dress with his wrenches. Ad this to your must see classic comedy list.

What's Bugging You???

There was a time when Giant Bugs ruled the local Bijou. As seen in an earlier post, we had Giant Grasshoppers in BEGINNING OF THE END. Here we have a HUGE Preying Mantis. This film has the absolute most BORINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG first 20 minutes you could possibly imagine. The opening 1/4 of the film takes a promotional like intro to the wonders of our Airforce and their work in Alaska. Universal did not stop to think, with a poster like this, we want to see a GIANT BUG ON THE LOOSE! And we want to see it quickly!

Dracula on stage!

Here is Bela peforming in the 1928 Stage Production of Dracula. Here he puts the bite on Lucy Seward played by Hazel Whitwine. This was 4 years before the Universal Epic!
