When Bela met Lon!

Bela Lugosi who at first turned down the role of the Frankenstein Monster, became that creation in this 1943 Gem.

Cool poster...good to see that Realart produced some cool lobby art for their re-released pictures.

And now the re-release paper on these is fast approaching the price of the original release versions!

Yes, John, isn't it crazy?! Used to be the realart versions were a reasonably priced way to get comparable quality posters from our beloved favorites. Anyway, I love this movie, probably my favorite of the Frankensteins. Not the best, mind you, just the one I watch the most often. Lon is great as the suffering Laurence Talbot. Poor Bela just did what the script called for. When they cut the dialog from the soundtrack, some of his work only seems incoherent. Not his fault.
